FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE AND 95.5 THE BULL ANNOUNCE LATEST ‘COUNTRY’S NEXT BIG THING’ FREE PERFORMANCE FEATURING ANNIE BOSKO, APRIL 23
Fremont Street Experience and 95.5 The Bull are pleased to announce ‘Country’s Next Big Thing’ will return for its next installment on Tuesday, April 23 with a free performance by Annie Bosko on the 1st Street Stage at 7pm. Country’s Next Big Thing represents an ongoing collaboration between Fremont Street Experience and 95.5 The Bull, providing a platform for up-and-coming artists to perform and share their talent with all music enthusiasts and country fans.
Stone Country Records/Brown Sellers Brown singer-songwriter Annie Bosko pairs a sound anchored deep in the organic twang of ‘90s country with simple songs told from the heart, preaching equal parts healing and honky-tonk hope. A student of legendary crooners like Patsy Cline with added inspiration from Shania Twain, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, The Beatles and more, the Golden State native broke out in 2014 with the SiriusXM/CMT hit “Crooked Halo,” bucking the bro-country trend for a traditionally flavored anthem that has now amassed more than 3 million streams. She went on to record songs written by Willie Nelson and Jessica Simpson, tour alongside Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton, sell out the famed Troubadour and perform on the Grand Ole Opry and at Ryman Auditorium – the fabled Mother Church of Country Music – while also becoming an in-demand studio vocalist and earning the title Artist to Watch from Rolling Stone Country.
In 2023, Bosko released the powerful-yet-tender ballad “Dandelions” in memory of the victims of Nashville’s Covenant School shooting –a track written alongside Danny Myrick, which has now become a beacon of community remembrance and faith. Lost in grief and capturing the reverberating shock of that day’s unfathomable loss, the track has been embraced by the Covenant School families themselves, with all proceeds being donated for their benefit through ACM Lifting Lives. Her five-song EP Annie Bosko is available now, featuring sharp-yet-simple, pure-country songs written or co-written with hit makers like Jeffrey Steele, Bridgette Tatum and more, all aimed at uplifting, inspiring or just singing along with women and country-music lovers everywhere.
For the first time, Fremont Street Experience and 95.5 The Bull are giving fans a chance to win an exclusive, VIP Experience for a lucky winner and their guest to have dinner at Whiskey Liquor Up inside Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel. Prior to ‘Country’s Next Big Thing’ Annie Bosko’s performance on April 23, she will serenade the winners with a private acoustic performance inside the intimate whiskey saloon. Fans can enter to win at 955TheBull.iHeart.com or VegasExperience.com.
Past ‘Country’s Next Big Thing’ performances include MaRynn Taylor, Dalton Dover, sister duo Tigirlily Gold, singer-songwriter Jackson Dean and Chase Matthew. Throughout the year, Fremont Street Experience and 95.5 The Bull periodically bring in up and coming country stars for a series of free performances.
