CORY VANDERHOOK HONORED ON SUREFIRE BASEBALL FORUM LIST

Closing out the year and preparing for the upcoming 2024 season, the UNLV baseball team was recognized by D1.relocation and the Surefire Baseball Forum earlier this week. The committee selected current UNLV Assistant Coach Cory Vanderhook as one of their 22 selectees, welcoming the next generation of head coaches in NCAA Division I Baseball programs.

Since 2018, the Surefire Baseball Forum has aimed to match NCAA DI administrators with top assistant baseball coaches from all around the country. The purpose is two-fold: prepare assistant coaches for head coaching roles and create more interest in college baseball among athletic administrators. Vanderhook joined the fifth forum earlier this week, traveling out to the host venue at Loyola Marymount University.

“This is a well-deserved recognition for Cory,” remarked UNLV head coach Stan Stolte, “Recruiting is a 24/7, 365-days-a-year responsibility and he never takes a day off, as identifying and getting good players is the backbone of every successful program. We are fortunate to have him and he will be a great head coach someday.”
