AREA15 TO HOST DIA DE LOS MUERTOS, HALLOWEEN EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

 For anyone looking for last-minute festive activities to do in celebration of the spooky season, AREA15 transforms into ScAREA15 this weekend, offering multiple distinctive experiences – including a family-friendly Tricks and Treats event on Nevada Day, which is a day off for most local schools.

Thursday, Oct. 28
Dia de los Muertos Crafts + Cocktails inside AREA15’s Sanctuary
Time: 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Ages: Age 21 and older
Description: Celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) while exploring your creative side with a guided art experience with expert instructor Kim Bavington in the Sanctuary, a bamboo volcano, inside AREA15. Enjoy crafts and cocktails during two experience sessions where you’ll create a model clay sugar skull or a hand-painted Dia de los Muertos-themed canvas. You’ll leave with a cultural buzz and your own one-of-a-kind art piece.

Thursday, Oct. 28 – Monday, Nov. 1
HalloWINK! at Wink World
Time: During operating hours
Ages: All ages before 10 p.m.; 21 and older after 10 p.m.
Description: Costume party through Monday, Nov. 1. Guests who dress in the daily theme will receive a discounted $11 ticket to Wink World, with daily themes:

  • Thursday, Oct. 28: 80s Throwback – Dress in your best 80s look.
  • Friday, Oct. 29: Fantasy Friday – Dress in your favorite woodland creature or underworld demon costume attire.
  • Saturday, Oct. 30: Space Saturday – Dress in alien-, planet- or space-themed attire.
  • Sunday, Oct. 31: HalloWINK! – Come in the costume of your choice!
  • Monday, Nov. 1: Hangover Party – Make the most out of that leftover costume and wear it again for a discount!

Army of the Dead: Viva Las Vengeance: A VR Experience
Time: Varies
Ages: 13+ recommended
Description: Viva Las Vengeance, a new immersive experience based on the Netflix original film Army of the Dead by Zack Snyder, allows you to take on the role of a mercenary and fight your way through hordes of zombies in mixed reality.  

Friday, Oct. 29
Celebrating Nevada Day – Tricks and Treats
Time: 12 to 5 p.m.
Ages: All ages
Description: Why trick or treat when you can have both? This Nevada Day, October 29th, families are invited to trick AND treat through AREA15 for SPINE-tingling surprises around every corner. What does that entail? Magic potions, spooky delights, family-friendly games, and, of course, LOTS of candy.

Five Iron Golf Halloween Party
Time: 8-11 p.m.
Ages: 21 and older
Description: Five Iron Golf and Espolón Tequila are teaming up to host a spooktacular Halloween event full of boos, brews and birdies!

Saturday, Oct. 30
Fetish + Fantasy Ball inside the A-Lot + The Portal 
Time: 9 p.m.
Ages: 21 and older
Description: The No. 1 Halloween party in Las Vegas celebrates its 25th year anniversary with live entertainment, theatrical performers, and more.

This is Halloween with DJ MelSF + Costume Contest at Emporium Arcade Bar
Time: 9 p.m.
Ages: 21 and older
Description: Enjoy local craft brews, imaginative cocktails, classic arcade games, a live DJ, and costume contest with cash prizes.

Sunday, Oct. 31
Sanctuary Sessions: Silent Disco + Costume Contest
Time: 8 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Ages: 21 and older
Description: Don a costume and choose your own musical monster mash adventure and find your groove at the Silent Disco inside the Sanctuary.  

Hallowemo with DJ Mike Carbonell + Costume Contest at Emporium Arcade Bar
Time: 9 p.m.
Ages: 21 and older
Description: Enjoy local craft brews, imaginative cocktails, classic arcade games, a live DJ, and costume contest with cash prizes.

CAMELPHAT + Costume Contest at A-Lot
Time: 8 p.m.
Ages: 21 and older
Description: English DJ and production duo CAMELPHAT bring their deep house and dance beats to AREA15 on Halloween, Sunday, October 31. Feel the fall vibe with a costume contest complete with off-the-chart prizes and surprises under the stars and lights outdoors in the A-Lot. VIP Table packages available for that extra spooky experience.
