Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower with Micheladas, Mouthwatering Eats and Major Wins
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower will elevate Cinco de Mayo celebrations with a weekend full of festive flavors, specialty cocktails and the chance to win big, from Friday, May 2 to Monday, May 5. The festivities will wrap up with a “Spring Spirits Giveaway” on Monday, May 5.
The celebration will kick off with a casino-wide gaming promotion, the $25,000 Cinco de Mayo Slot Tournament. True Rewards members may enter with a $50 buy-in. Seventy-five winners will share $25,000 in slot play, with the first-place winner receiving $6,000 in slot play. Participants may play three tournament rounds, with $55 hot seat winners announced during each round. Fiesta-themed drinks will be available throughout the weekend at PT’s Wings & Sports, View Lounge, 108 Drinks, REMIX Lounge and Swim & Social Pool. Selections will include Mexican candy shots made with Patrón El Cielo Tequila, watermelon, lime, hot sauce, Chamoy and Tajín, priced at $8; and loaded micheladas crafted with Patrón El Cielo Tequila, Pacifico Clara Mexican Lager, house-made michelada mix, lime, Chamoy and Tajín, priced at $12. Swim & Social will also serve a Hornitos Margarita made with Hornitos Plata Tequila, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, lemon and lime, priced at $19.
Beer specials will also be available throughout the property. PT’s Wings & Sports and View Lounge will offer drafts of Pacifico Clara and Modelo Especial, priced at $7; REMIX Lounge and 108 Drinks will pour drafts of Modelo Especial, priced at $7; and Swim & Social will feature buckets of Pacifico Clara, Modelo Especial and Corona Extra for $30.
Guests can indulge in festive flavors with holiday dishes at PT’s Wings & Sports and View Lounge, with items including chiles rellenos, roasted poblano peppers stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese, accompanied by Spanish rice, refried black beans, corn tortillas and salsa roja, priced at $28; and sopes al pastor with fried corn masa, marinated pork, shredded lettuce, tomato, queso fresco, crema, Spanish rice, refried black beans and house-made salsa roja, priced at $21. Swim & Social will be serve a poolside lineup featuring tacos de cochinita pibil, achiote-braised pork with pickled onions, habanero peppers, green salsa and lime, priced at $16; tacos gobernador, flour tortillas filled with chipotle shrimp, bell peppers, onions, Oaxaca cheese, pepper jack cheese and chilli crunch, priced at $18; and carne asada volcán, crispy corn tortilla with Oaxaca cheese, pepper jack cheese, carne asada, guacamole and lime, priced at $17.
To complete the celebration, True Rewards members can take part in the “Spring Spirits Giveaway” on Monday, May 5. Players who earn 1,000 base points will receive a voucher at the True Rewards kiosk, which can be redeemed for a bottle of El Jimador Tequila at the True Rewards Center. Cinco de Mayo weekend also marks the launch of The STRAT’s poolside entertainment at Swim & Social. Emo icons Hawthorne Heights will return for an electrifying performance on Saturday, May 3. Following a sold-out show last fall, the band will deliver an afternoon set starting at 4 p.m., with doors opening at 3 p.m. After the show, fans can meet the band and enjoy table games on the casino floor.
