September 28 Event at the Strike Zone Bowling Center Benefits Cure 4 The Kids Foundation

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation will hold a bowling event to help raise funds for Nevada’s children fighting catastrophic diseases such as cancer without medical insurance or the financial resources to pay for treatment on September 28, 2013.

The Third Annual Bowl 4 The Kids event will take place at the Strike Zone Bowling Center, inside Sunset Station at 1301 W. Sunset Rd. (Sunset between Stephanie and Marks in Henderson) on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Bowling starts at 1:00 p.m. This bowling event raises funds for Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care Plan, which ensures that children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses such as cancer get the treatment they need regardless of health insurance or financial ability.

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, provides funding to the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only nonprofit pediatric cancer outpatient treatment center.

Registration for Bowl 4 The Kids is $25 for those who register prior to September 14, 2013, and includes three games and a free t-shirt on bowl day! After September 13, registration is $30. Bowlers can register by calling (702) 732-0232 or by emailing organizer Linda DeCamp at [email protected]. A registration form can also be downloaded at http://bit.ly/15dmEnT and then faxed or mailed to the foundation.

“Bowl 4 The Kids was a lot of fun and a huge success the last two years so we promised we’d do it again,” said Annette Logan President and Executive Director of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “Without fundraisers like this, it would be impossible to continue our vision that no child be deprived of care regardless of ability to pay or not.”

There will also be raffle prizes and a silent auction.

About Cure 4 The Kids:
The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center Of Nevada are funded, in part, by the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein to ensure children with life threatening illnesses received proper medical attention regardless of their family’s income or presence of health insurance. To date, more than 8,000 patients have been treated by physicians and medical staff at the Children’s Specialty Center and Hemophilia Treatment Center. The Children’s Specialty Center provides medical treatment to children facing devastating diseases such as cancer, rheumatological diseases, as well as rare and ultra rare diseases. All our providers are Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada is the only Federally recognized HTC in the state. It is one of 140 HTCs around the country which provides individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Studies show people with Hemophilia who are treated at Federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates and lower mortality rates than non-HTC users. The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care plan ensures patients at The Children’s Specialty Center and the Hemophilia Treatment center receive medical treatment regardless of family income or presence of medical insurance. www.cure4thekids.org
