After-School All-Stars to Host 2nd Annual
Lip Sync Showdown at XS Nightclub

It’s time to lip sync like a pro—for a great cause! After-School All-Stars (ASAS) Las Vegas, a nonprofit organization offering free, comprehensive afterschool programs to Las Vegas youth, is partnering with Wynn Resorts and mobile game developer PLAYSTUDIOS to host its 2nd annual Lip Sync Showdown at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at XS Nightclub, located at Encore Las Vegas, 3131 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
The event is a playful fundraiser where 12 teams from various organizations will compete in an epic lip-sync showdown, vying for the title of “Las Vegas All-Star.” Attendees can take in stellar performances while supporting a cause that directly impacts local kids.
“Paying lip service to a good cause has never been this fun,” said Jodi Manzella, executive director of After-School All-Stars. “The Lip Sync Showdown helps us raise funds to support our mission of providing free, enriching, high-quality, teacher-led after-school programs to keep children safe during the hours where they might otherwise find trouble, all while teaching them skills to help them succeed in school and life.”
Since 1995, ASAS has offered comprehensive programs to keep children safe while helping them succeed in school and life. The organization’s programs focus on academic support, enrichment, and life skills development through engaging activities in STEM, music, arts, and sports.
“Our mission is to create after-school experiences that are as enriching as they are fun,” added Jenna Morton, board member. “Our programs are designed to give kids access to opportunities they might not find in traditional settings.”
ASAS serves more than 4,000 students across 22 Title I schools in the Las Vegas Valley, and all funds raised from the event will go toward continuing to support our mission of providing free programs to at-risk elementary and middle school students.
