EVOLUTION EXPEDITIONS INVITES GUESTS TO EXPERIENCE TRANQUIL SIDE
OF COLORADO RIVER WITH EARLY MORNING TOURS
Evolution Expeditions, the Colorado River’s best-in-class kayaking and hiking tour operator, invites guests to enjoy the most tranquil time of the day to kayak the Colorado River during its early morning tours. The Kayak Emerald Cave Express tour departing at 8 a.m. provides cool temperatures and the serenity of the river before the arrival of the late morning and afternoon crowds.
Additionally, kayakers booking Kayak Emerald Cave Express tours on Sundays or Mondays will enjoy the scenic Black Canyon from Willow Beach Marina & Campground to the Hoover Dam without loud disturbances from motorized watercraft. This year’s Independence Day also falls on a Monday, offering visitors the opportunity to celebrate the holiday with an uncharacteristically peaceful and motorized boat-free riverscape
“Motorized watercrafts are not permitted on the lower Colorado River on Sundays and Mondays, creating the most peaceful days of the week for a kayaking adventure,” said Chris Cherney, owner, Evolution Expeditions. “Early risers will also enjoy cooler temperatures and more time to explore landmarks such as the famous Emerald Cave without having to fight the crowds.”
Featuring three hours of spectacular scenery, the Emerald Cave Express tour starts at Willow Beach, where guests will be transported back in time to learn about the historic sites along the Colorado River. Participants will venture into the Black Canyon, paddle past landmarks from the 1920-era Hoover Dam project and enjoy stunning photo opportunities of the glowing green water inside Emerald Cave. Bottled water, juice and snacks are also provided.
This tour is available for $99 per person. For more information or to book a tour, visit evolutionexpeditions.com.
