Enjoy A Mezcal-Fueled Celebration of Eggs and Rabbit On Easter

Main St. Provisions, a community-oriented restaurant in the Arts District, offers comfort food

Main St. Provisions, a community-oriented restaurant in the Arts District, serving modern American comfort food through a reimagined melting pot is hosting an Easter special event. Indulge with a Mezcal-fueled celebration of eggs and rabbit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, with unique and flavorful brunch items.

The Easter menu will include 400 Canejos Mezcal Cured Steelhead, Bugs Bunny Benedict, Ebelskivers, and Pickled Easter Salad. Chef Justin Kingsley Hall’s favorite spirit is Mezcal, so he was inspired to combine this spirit and rabbit for his Easter Menu.

“Chef Justin Kingsley Hall and his team focus on seasonality and responsible ingredient sourcing to create an approachable and exciting menu. We believe in whole animal and vegetable cooking, working on using the best ingredients to their full potential while limiting our footprint,” says Kim Owens, owner of Main St. Provisions. “Our plant-based dishes celebrate delicious fresh vegetables. We also offer humanely raised sustainable meat options. Cocktails, wine, and beer are curated to work in harmony with the full Main St. Provisions vision.”

The 400 Canejos Mezcal Cured Steelhead is cold smoked steelhead trout topped with caper berries, and whipped cream cheese, served with pea tendril, endive salad, and country bread. Bugs Bunny Benedict, named after the beloved cartoon character, is rabbit ham and steamed greens on cornbread in a cast-iron skillet, topped with a poached egg and covered with smoke carrot hollandaise sauce. Ebelskivers are Danish pancake balls topped with bourbon maple syrup, powdered sugar, and served with blueberry jam. Pickled Easter Salad combines pickled Easter eggs and grilled asparagus with Pepita pepper pesto and tarragon dressing. Other menu items include Col. Sander’s Rabbit and Waffles, Bourbon Bread Pudding, and Hwy 41 Toast.

The bar team, led by Lisa Brier, finds great products to provide a memorable experience, highlighting many great distillers, winemakers, and brewers, which begins within the local community.

Owens and her team draw on a rich background in food and beverage service to provide a guest-centric dining experience. Detail to attention begins with a warm greeting at the front door to a well-educated staff as well as an ambiance that includes locally sourced artwork throughout the restaurant inspired by the mid-mod neighborhood.

The Arts District vibrant neighborhood supports a restaurant with an atmosphere rich in personality and care. The focus at Main St. Provisions is on the whole experience. They aim to provide guests with great food, drinks, service, and warm hospitality through a shared team philosophy.
