Plaza Hotel & Casino to celebrate the return of NFR with fireworks, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
To welcome back the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR), the Plaza Hotel & Casino will put on the Downtown Hoedown Grand Finale Fireworks Show this Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
Staged from multiple locations on the Plaza’s roofs and towers, the fireworks display will be an amazing show for people downtown and visible for miles. A portion of Main Street in front of the Plaza will be closed during the fireworks.
“As the home of rodeo in downtown Las Vegas, we are very excited to welcome the NFR back,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, a proud hotel partner of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and the official host hotel of the Junior World Finals. “We thought of no better way to celebrate then to light up the sky with some fireworks as the grand finale to the Downtown Hoedown on the Fremont Street Experience.”
The Plaza’s CORE Arena, downtown’s only outdoor equestrian center, will be the location of several youth rodeo events during the Junior World Finals, such as national qualifier competitions in breakaway roping and steer wrestling.
While CORE Arena is the headquarters to the events for the youth, the Plaza also will have events and attractions for adults. CORE Arena hosts various events including Barrel Racing, Tie Down, Break-away and Bull Riding. The entertainment continues inside of the Plaza with Dummy Roping, Watch Parties and a premier horse sale.
