Real Men Wear Pink with the American Cancer Society

Local leaders will raise awareness and funds in the fight to end breast cancer

Las Vegas community leaders continue to step forward in support of the sixth annual Real Men Wear Pink  campaign; and they are united to fight breast cancer with the American Cancer Society. To date 20 civic and business  leaders have pledged their support as the campaign begins its new season.

These community leaders have each pledged to support the campaign for different reasons, but all are dedicated to  working together to create a world without breast cancer. Shawn Barrack, Director of Operations, Art Houz Theaters, and new to the campaign this year shares, “I wanted to join the American Cancer Society Real Men Wear Pink Campaign  because I am a strong believer in the continual support of all cancer research. Cancer affects so many lives throughout the  world and I have a very unique platform to help raise awareness. I have multiple friends who have suffered from cancer  and I wish to help in any way I can. Through our Pink Drink campaign at the Art Houz Theaters, I am able to help spread  awareness while also giving back to the guests that support.”

Dan Walsh, SVP and General Manager, Harrah’s Las Vegas, The Linq, and Flamingo is setting an early pace having raised  over $19,000. He is in close quarters with Jason Naimi, managing partner of Naimi & Cerceo, and Nathan Schweigart from NDL Group. In addition to Dan, Caesars Entertainment has Steve Ellis, Jason Gregorec, and Terrence O’Donnell. Also  included in the field: Dr. Rupesh Parikh, Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, Guy Martin from Martin Harris  Construction, DJ for Las Vegas sports teams Joe Green, and many other leaders round out the 2021 campaign. Visit the  Real Men Wear Pink Website at RealMenWearPinkACS.org/Nevada for a full roster of the local leaders. Each Real Men Wear  Pink participant accepts a fundraising challenge and will compete to be the top fundraiser among his peers by the end of  the campaign. If you or someone you know is interested in joining this distinguished group of community leaders, contact  Jordan Nelson at [email protected] or call 702-449-8202.
