Last week, Grant a Gift Autism Foundation hosted its 11th annual charitable gala on the Allegiant Stadium field, raising an unprecedented $1.5 million in donations towards the foundation’s mission to help children, young adults and their families throughout Southern Nevada master autism. The sold-out event recognized the Las Vegas Raider’s, Sletten Companies and UNLV Interim President, 2018 – 2020 Marta Meanna Ph. D. for their unwavering dedication and support of the foundation and its mission over the years.

Marking the first-ever charitable event held on the stadium’s field, the silver and black-themed evening hosted by Mark Shunock featured surprise Blue Man Group disturbances, guest appearances from Raider’s defensive end Maxx Crosby and tight end Darren Waller, exclusive VIP stadium tours and more. Guests participated in lively auction events, bidding on luxurious items including signed Vegas Golden Knight memorabilia for $3,900, an exclusive JetSuite x Newport Beach vacation package for $24,000, two 2021 Ford Broncos for a total of $280,000, a Goldendoodle puppy for $26,000 and much more. The evening was memorialized with a heartfelt presentation from Airforce Thunder Bird Colonel John Caldwell, who gifted a signed Thunder Bird memorabilia and a highly coveted military coin to a Grant a Gift client whose lifelong dream is to be a pilot one day.

Grant a Gift’s Silver and Black gala was a success made possible through generous contributions from Gaudin Motor Company, The Smile Generation, and the local community. As President and CEO Peter Krauss noted in his opening remarks, the Ackerman Center has served more than 5,000 families, assisting them in their plight to master Autism. Sadly, more than 5,000 children remain on the waitlist. Every dollar donated will go directly towards furthering Grant a Gift Autism Foundation’s mission to help children, young adults and their families master autism by providing assessment and treatment funding, support services, vocational training and transition planning.
