Fifth-year senior outside hitter led the Rebels to a 2-0 home record last week, moving into first place in the league standings

\UNLV volleyball’s Mariena Hayden was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It marks the seventh such honor of her career.
It also is the fourth individual weekly award for the Rebels this season as Chloe Thomas has been twice named Freshman of the Week and Paris Oliveira was a Defensive Player of the Week honoree.
Hayden, a fifth-year senior outside hitter from Belle Plaine, Minnesota, led the Rebels to their 10th win in their last 11 outings with two 3-1 home victories last week. UNLV defeated Air Force and New Mexico, catapulting the Rebels into a tie for first place in the Mountain West standings.
Hayden finished the week with a team-high 31 kills, registering 3.88 per set. She also hit .282, led the team with nine service aces (1.13 per set) and contributed 18 digs.
