ANNOUNCES APRIL 25 – MAY 2 VIRTUAL EVENTS HIGHLIGHTING
SPIRITUAL SELF-CARE
WHAT:
For the last week of its monthlong “#Ask5 to Smash Stress” social media campaign for National Stress Awareness Month, Hope Means Nevada (HMN), the community-based non-profit focused on eliminating youth suicide in the state, will focus on Spiritual Self-Care.
WEEK 4 SCHEDULE: SPIRITUAL SELF-CARE
Sunday, April 25: Weekly introduction with teen committee co-chairs Caroline and Lauren Edgeworth.
Monday, April 26: Interview with Reverend Will Rucker, motivational speaker and advocate for interfaith collaboration.
Tuesday, April 27: Infographic inviting followers to share their favorite spiritual practice on social media.
Wednesday, April 28: Live video instruction on spirituality.
Thursday, April 29: Check in and chat box question.
Friday, April 30: Art Therapy Night featuring Brejenn Allen, painting, fibers and graphic design artist.
Saturday, May 1: Weekly Recap – 5 takeaways from the week.
Sunday, May 2: “Be Back Soon” social media post – unplugging from social media day.
The Weekly Challenge is a to share your favorite spiritual practice on social media and/or with five of your family and friends, such as meditation, taking a walk, going to church, praying, etc…
ABOUT #ASK5 TO SMASH STRESS:
All month long, HMN is asking the public to help Hope Means Nevada Smash Stress for the teens in their lives: #Ask5 young people if they are OK, then donate $5 to support HMN’s mental wellness education campaign. Throughout April, daily content published to @HopeMeansNevada’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok pages will educate teens about mental health as a means of intervention and prevention of teen suicide. The campaign is sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
