Tri-State K-9 educates families during National Dog Bite Prevention Week

Learn about proper safety around dogs May 20-26

It is very easy for adults and children to lose sight of how dangerous it is to be in the presence of a dog, so it is time to be educated on the cautions to take and how to properly train a dog. National Dog Bite Prevention Week is May 20-26 and this is the time to learn how to prevent dog bites and attacks.

Larry Nava, owner and lead trainer of Tri-State K-9 has been training dogs for decades and he is now taking his training philosophy to the public to teach others about the safety rules when dealing with man’s best friend.

Most people may not know that 4.7 million people in America are bitten by dogs each year, children are the most common victims or that senior citizens are the second most common dog bite victims.

Nava is ready to teach citizens about these facts and more as well as discuss his philosophy of using positive enforcement with dogs and not using electric collars.
