UNLV men’s soccer comes home for a Friday night, 7 pm conference match with Houston Baptist at Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels are coming in off a pair of consecutive double-overtime ties against Air Force (0-0) and at Seattle (1-1), teams that were picked in the top three in the preseason coaches poll. Thanks to those impressive performances, the Rebels have moved into the regional rankings this week at No. 6.

Though UNLV stands at 0-1-2, they are just two points out of second place, as 10 of the 11 teams have points in the standings thus far through the first three weeks. Houston Baptist meanwhile is 0-3-1, but has struggled offensively with just two total goals in four games. Three of the Huskies’ first four games have been at home as well, with the lone road game a 2-1 loss at Grand Canyon on Feb. 20. HBU’s struggles can be seen in its total shots per game, as they are averaging under 10 a game (9.75 spg), while UNLV averages 16.0 spg this season through three games.

Friday’s game will be available to watch through the WAC Digital Network, which will have live links on UNLVRebels.com and can also be watched through the Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android streaming devices. Ben Wilson will provide the play-by-play call, while Philipp Wiese is the color analyst.
