HEARTS ALIVE VILLAGE ANIMAL RESCUE
INVITES SUPPORTERS TO
IMAGINE THE PAWSIBILITIES THIS GIVINGTUESDAY

As nonprofits around the world are gearing up for another GivingTuesday (December 1st), Hearts Alive Village is inviting supporters to “Imagine the Pawsibilities” with a video series highlighting remarkable adoption stories.

Many of the animals that come to Hearts Alive Village have had an extremely rough upbringing. Some of them were born with deformities or suffered injuries later in life. Others were badly mistreated and endured both physical and emotional abuse.

“No matter what an animal has gone through, we believe they deserve a loving family to call their very own, says Founder and Executive Director Christy Stevens. “We provide medical treatment, behavioral training, and the love and kindness they need to move on to the next chapter of their story.”

The rescue will feature eight stories the week leading up to Giving Tuesday. The stories will showcase dogs like Gemma, a mini dachshund mix who was dumped at the shelter with her back legs paralyzed. She was facing certain euthanasia until a Hearts Alive Village rescuer pulled her out of the shelter and brought her to the Village. Gemma was given a wheelchair and received medical treatment and love. After just a few weeks, she ran into the kitchen for dinner… no wheelchair required. She was adopted by an amazing man and has become quite the little swimmer.

Cats such as Rocky, will be featured as well. A kitten who was found in a driveway with her placenta still attached, Rocky’s siblings hadn’t survived and momma cat was nowhere to be seen. A Hearts Alive kitten foster found her, took her in, and bottle-fed her… all the way to Colorado for her husband’s cancer surgery. Rocky was adopted by an ICU neonatal nurse (for humans) who is giving this miraculous kitten the life she deserves.

“Hearts Alive Village focuses on the sick, the old, and the broken. The amazing support we’ve received from this community allows us to provide the medical care necessary, and our wonderful fosters provide the space and time these animals need,” said Stevens. “We hope this GivingTuesday, the community will once again pull together and help us save even more lives.”

The rescue has been given a matching gift of up to $10,000 by Howard Ash, an animal lover and father to Tyson – the final story of the week. The rescue will launch a peer fundraising campaign in conjunction with GivingTuesday, inviting donors to fundraise on behalf of the organization.
