Fremont Street Experience Appoints Andrew Simon as President and Chief Executive Officer

FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE APPOINTS ANDREW SIMON AS PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Fremont Street Experience, the six-block entertainment district located in historic downtown Las Vegas, named hospitality, sports and entertainment industry veteran Andrew Simon as president and chief executive officer to replace Patrick Hughes who announced that he would be stepping down. Andrew Simon begins on Sept. 28, 2020.

Drawing on 30 years of experience, Simon brings vibrant energy and a wealth of local and global expertise to Fremont Street Experience. Since 2007, Simon served as chief executive officer of sports for Mark Cuban’s AXS TV. Simon created the AXS TV Fights brand and professional sports strategy that grew network distribution by 700% during his tenure and made history with the first nationally broadcast live sporting event from Fremont Street Experience. Before joining AXS TV, Simon worked for COX Communications in Las Vegas as vice president of marketing and sales where he conceived the award-winning “Channel 1 Guy” campaign.

 

Prior to COX Communications, Simon held executive positions with COX Business Services | Hospitality Network, NXTV and Deloitte. Originally from New York, Simon’s history with Las Vegas began in 1992 while working as a blackjack dealer as part of the MAP program at The Mirage.  Simon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University – School of Hotel Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from UCLA – Anderson School of Management.
