RAIL EXPLORERS REOPENS EVENING TOURS ON JUNE 5

Rail Explorers, the all-ages, outdoor-adventure attraction featuring pedal-powered rail bikes, reopens for evening tours on Friday, June 5 with tours at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. All rides start at the Nevada State Railroad Museum and continue downhill to Railroad Pass. Each tour also includes a nostalgic ride back to the top of the hill in one of the museum’s historic trains, along with free museum entry.

Tandem Rail Explorers (up to two riders) or Quad Rail Explorers rail bikes (up to four riders) are available on each tour offered. Tandem railbike tours are $85 and Quad railbike tours are $150. Groups of ten or more people receive a 10 percent discount for weekday tours.  All Nevada residents receive a 10 percent “locals” discount off the standard tour price for weekday tours. Health and Safety Notes: Rail Explorers requires that all guests on premises adhere to social distancing protocols to protect guests and employees from COVID-19. Guests will need to wear facial masks when in public areas and must remain six feet apart. Rail Explorers will additionally request that each guest answer health safety screening questions upon entrance and will be scanned for temperature readings using a contactless thermometer. Rail bikes are thoroughly disinfected and cleaned between tours. Hand sanitizing stations are available to guests and are located throughout the facility.
