Welcome to the dog Haus!
Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas to kick off Oktoberfest
with celebrity keg tapper Cesar Millan, Friday, Sept. 13
Millan is the first of a full Oktoberfest lineup of celebrity keg tappers
For one night only, Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas will become the dog Haus, as it welcomes world-renowned dog whisperer Cesar Millan as the first celebrity keg tapper of the Oktoberfest season on Friday, Sept. 13. Millan will kick off the season by tapping the first keg of Oktoberfestbier while revelers celebrate the grand opening of his limited-engagement residency Cesar Millan – My Story: Unleashed at the David Copperfield Theater inside MGM Grand.
Millan is the first of several celebrity keg tappers, who will be on hand every Friday and Saturday night throughout Oktoberfest to tap the keg, while guests enjoy stein-holding contests, live entertainment, bar games, prizes and more.
Fellow keg tappers include performers Frankie Moreno (Saturday, Sept. 14), FANTASY (Friday, Sept. 20), Jeff Civillico (Saturday, Sept. 21), Hans Klok (Friday, Sept. 27), Raiding the Rock Vault (Saturday, Sept. 28), Crazy Girls (Friday, Oct. 4), Rick Harrison (Saturday, Oct. 5), The Australian Bee Gees (Friday, Oct. 11), Anthony Cools (Saturday, Oct. 12), Chippendales (Friday, Oct. 18), Zowie Bowie (Saturday, Oct. 19), Murray SawChuck (Friday, Oct. 25) and Ricardo Laguna (Saturday, Oct. 26).
Come for the party and stay for the food! Before Oktoberfest had its own designated brew, taverns and eating houses, including the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, served up delicious seasonal fare for guests to enjoy. Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas continues that time-honored tradition by offering daily Oktoberfest specials every day of the week.
Monday: Biergulasch (tender beef braised in goulash spices and HB dark beer)
Tuesday: Bier Bratl “Oktoberfest” (pork roast with onion beer gravy)
Wednesday: Oktoberfest Jägerhackbraten (homemade German-style meat loaf topped with creamy mushroom sauce, served with mashed potatoes, cucumber salad and garnished with crispy fried onions)
Thursday: HB Räucherplatte (an assortment of smoked Bavarian meats and sausages)
Friday: HB-Oktoberfest Rouladen (braised beef roll with bacon, onions and pickles) and Schweinshaxe (crispy pork shank)
Saturday: Schweinshaxe (crispy pork shank)
Sunday: Oktoberfest Schmankerl Tower (an assortment of Bavarian meat and poultry specials on a three-tiered tower)
Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is the only place in Las Vegas where beer lovers can taste the same Oktoberfestbier that is served at the Oktoberfest in Munich. The full-bodied lager is brewed to perfection and sports a 6.3 percent alcohol by volume. Oktoberfestbier is imported from the same batches made for the Oktoberfest tent in Munich to Hofbräuhaus locations across the country. Luckily, partiers don’t need to go to Munich to enjoy this famous flavor. The Las Vegas location alone serves an average of 22,500 liters or 5,943 gallons per month.
Oktoberfest runs from Friday, Sept. 13 through Thursday, Oct. 31 and reservations are highly recommended. Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays until midnight. To make a reservation, please call 702.853.BEER (2337) or visit HofbrauhausLasVegas.com.
