THE PARK WELCOMES BACK OF HOUSE BRAWL TO LAS VEGAS STRIP
2019 Season to Include Six Culinary Competitions; Stellar Chef Lineup

Back of House Brawl, Las Vegas’ most popular food truck cooking competition series, will make its debut March 23 at The Park, The Strip’s premier outdoor gathering destination. The late-night foodie event will pair some of the city’s most talented chefs in a battle to create two unique dishes, using secret ingredients delivered moments before the race begins, with only 30 minutes on the clock. Admission to all Back of House Brawl events is complimentary and open to the public.

The fun afterhours event features two teams, each comprised of one chef from a Strip restaurant and a partner from an off-Strip venue. The duos will present their collaborative creations to a panel of judges – Iron Chef Michael Symon; Reigning Back of House Brawl Champion and Chef de Cuisine John Courtney of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; and VEGAS Magazine Editor-in-Chief Emmy Kasten. The winning team will move on to the championship round November 16.

“Back of House Brawl has become a Las Vegas culinary scene institution, bringing locals together to eat, drink and socialize since its conception in 2011,” said Back of House Brawl Creator Jolene Mannina. “We are excited to bring the series to The Strip and share the incredible talent of our local culinary community with visitors.”

Executive Director of The Park Crystal Robinson said, “The addition of Back of House Brawl to our monthly event lineup reinforces our mission to create a social gathering space for locals and tourists alike. Our vibrant, outdoor setting offers the ideal location for the event’s late-night festivities.”

All Back of House Brawl events will begin at 9 p.m. with drinks and bites available for purchase from popular food truck vendors such as Truk-N-Yaki, Boqueria Street, Stripchezze and Cousins Maine Lobster. At midnight, spectators can catch a battle between resident mixologists as they put their skills to the test to create the best cocktail, followed by the 1 a.m. Back of House Brawl competition.
