FERRARO’S PAIRS UP WITH FAMILY-RUN BRAIDA WINERY
FOR OCTOBER’S EDUCATIONAL “TASTE & LEARN” EVENT, OCT. 27

On Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m., Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar will unite with Braida winery for its next Taste & Learn event, the popular monthly wine event known for bringing award-winning, high-quality Italian wines to Las Vegas.

During this special evening, Owner Gino Ferraro welcomes guests to enjoy exceptional wines from the family-run Piemontese winery, Braida. “Braida” was the nickname of Giuseppe Bologna, the patriarch of the Bologna family. Giuseppe’s great-grandson Giacomo Bologna inherited both the nickname and the vineyards from his father and he and his wife Anna grew the winery and its commitment to their love of life, earth, wine and friendship.

Today, Braida’s vintners include third-generation Giuseppe Bologna, who oversees viticulture, production and vineyard acquisition. His sister, Raffaella, and brother-in-law, Norbert Reinisch, serve as commercial manager and export director, respectively.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy excellent wines made from the noble Nebbiolo grape, including three distinct Barberas. Each wine will be artfully paired with delectable small plates prepared by Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo.

To start the evening, attendees’ taste buds will delight with yellowtail fish with papaya and rosemary, paired perfectly with a refreshing white wine, Nascetta, Langhe Bianco.

Guests will also enjoy Bricco dell’ Uccellone, a voluptuous, full-bodied wine marked by a precise balance between the grape’s characteristics and high-quality oak, coupled with Chef Francesco’s Mezzelune – half-moon beet ravioli with Piedmont cheese sauce.

The featured menu for the entire evening follows:

Nascetta, Langhe Bianco, 2016
Ricciola
Yellowtail, papaya, rosemary

Barbera, Braida, Montebruna, 2016
