FOURTH ANNUAL “WALK WITH ME” FUNDRAISER ON APRIL 7
2-Mile Walk and Easter Carnival to Benefit 6,000 Nevadans with Disabilities
WHAT: Easter Seals Nevada hosts the fourth annual “Walk With Me” event on Saturday, April 7, at 9 a.m., a fun-filled, two mile walk and Easter carnival for the whole family to benefit more than 6,000 Nevadans living with disabilities. This year’s event will also feature a special performance by School of Rock, the local chapter of the music school inspiring kids to rock on stage and in life.
- 9 a.m. – Event kickoff speeches by Brian Patchett, President and CEO of Easter Seals Nevada and families served by the organization.
- 9:30 a.m. – The walk begins and all participants will have the opportunity to meet and walk with Easter Seals’ 2012 “Honorary Ambassadors” – individuals who have directly benefited from the support received through Easter Seals’ programs. This year more than 500 people are expected to walk for disability awareness.
- 10:15 a.m. – For just $5, children can participate in Easter Seals Nevada’s Easter Carnival featuring an Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, activities for the family, food, music and more.
