Joins Breast Cancer Patients for Head-Shaving Event at Toshiba Plaza
Patients Shave Bellemare’s Head – and Their Own – During Breast Cancer Awareness Month
WHAT: The fight against breast cancer is a cause that is near and dear to Vegas Golden Knights’ Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and his wife, Hannah.
Two days before the puck drops on the Golden Knights’ 2018-2019 season, Bellemare will join patients from Comprehensive Cancer Centers (Comprehensive) for a one-of-a-kind head-shaving event, designed to raise awareness and help kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). Bellemare, in addition to the attending patients, will shave each other’s’ heads in what is sure to be a visually moving and captivating ceremony.
The event will also feature comments from Jon Bilstein (Executive Director of Comprehensive) as well as Angela VanBrackle (Senior Development Manager) of American Cancer Society. A donation will be made to the American Cancer Society as part of Tuesday’s event.
