RUNNIN’ REBELS TO HOLD SLAM DUNK SOCIAL FOR WOMEN
The event offers a UNLV men’s basketball behind-the-scenes experience

The UNLV men’s basketball program will host the Runnin’ Rebel Slam Dunk Social for Ladies on Sunday, October 7, from 2-4 p.m. at the Mendenhall Center.
The event is a basketball clinic for women that will offer a behind-the-scenes experience with the Runnin’ Rebels. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. with an opportunity to watch the team practice for those who arrive early.
UNLV’s men’s basketball coaches, players and coaches’ wives will be a part of the clinic, which will include various basketball stations and a tour of the Mendenhall Center, which is one of the premier training facilities in all of basketball and the training home to the Runnin’ Rebels and also Team USA. UNLV’s Director of Athletics Desiree Reed-Francois will also be in attendance and will speak to attendees.
“We are excited to host the Slam Dunk Social for Ladies again,” UNLV head men’s basketball coach Marvin Menzies said. “We received tremendous feedback from last year’s event and we hope to continue to improve it each year. Tammy and I look forward to seeing everyone from last year as well as some new faces.”
The clinic is open to 100 participants. Participants are encouraged to wear athletic shoes, but participation on the court is optional.
