Man of a 10,000 Sound Effects, invades The Space Oct. 12
Barking dogs, wet sneakers, roaring jets, spine-tingling scratches on a chalkboard, radio noises, strumming guitars and cell phone tones. The star of the Police Academy movies and master of vocal gymnastics brings his unique talent to The Space, the venue just west of the Las Vegas Strip that’s known for intimate and unexpected experiences.

Winslow can imitate more than 10,000 sound effects by just using his voice. His shows encompass recreating the frenzy of Jimmy Hendrix playing the guitar, a Star Wars battle reenactment, and performing a history of videogame sound effects ranging from Pong, Street Fighter and Portal. He is also a master of accents, easily transitioning between Southern, Scottish, British, Mexican, New York (Bronx and Brooklyn), New England, African, Australian, Midwest, Texan, Middle Eastern, German, Chinese, West Indian, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian.
In addition to the Police Academy series, Winslow has appeared in many movie and television shows including Space Balls and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
Winslow’s performance is part of an exciting fall concert schedule at The Space that includes Broadway and Hollywood recording stars such as John Lloyd Young and Shoshana Bean. Additional entertainment offerings include Mondays Dark, a twice-monthly celebrity-driven variety show that has raised more than $700,000 for local charities in southern Nevada, and the new ComedySportz, the internationally-acclaimed, hilarious improvisational comedy group featuring two teams of professionals who compete for laughs, points and audience support.
The Space is located at 3460 Cavaretta Court off of Polaris Ave. just north of Harmon Ave.
