The Las Vegas 51s PROFESSIONAL baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a five-game homestand on Friday, June 29 against the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m.  All games on the homestand will begin at 7:05 p.m. from Friday-Tuesday, June 29 – July 3.

The 51s, under manager Tony DeFrancesco, are currently on a four-game road trip in the Pacific Northwest against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The series will conclude on Thursday, June 28.

The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.

            2018 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 40 dates, Las Vegas total is 192,108 for an average of 4,803. The season-high crowd is 9,003 vs. Fresno on April 20.  The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 mark in “home” attendance in all 35 seasons (1983-2017).  The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,860,895.

The 51s organization will feature the best fireworks show in Southern Nevada with the traditional Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by The Valley Health System, in the series finale on Tuesday, July 3.  All tickets are priced at $17.00 (presale); $18.00-Day of Game.

A spectacular post-game Fireworks Show, presented by Findlay Toyota, will be featured in the series opener against Salt Lake on Friday, June 29.

51s Patriotic Dri-Fit T-Shirt Night, to the first 2,500 fans through the gates (open at 6 p.m.), will be featured in game two of the series on Saturday, June 30.

Smith’s Value Menu Monday will be presented in game four of the series on July 2.  Monday “home” games will feature a “Value Menu” for the 10th straight season!  The 51s and Centerplate have teamed together for discounted food items on Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Peanuts, Cracker Jack, Pretzels and Churros for just $1.00 per item.

Salt Lake’s roster features two of the top 10 prospects in the Angels organization, according to Baseball America: first baseman Matt Thaiss (No. 8) and right-handed pitcher Griffin Canning (No. 9).

Salt Lake is in first place in the Pacific Southern Division with a 44-34 record (.564).

Following the homestand, the 51s will embark on a five-game (four day) road trip to Northern California to face the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the 2017 World Series champion Houston Astros. The series will run from Wednesday-Saturday, July 4-7. A double-header is scheduled on July 7.

The Triple-A All-Star break will then be held from Sunday-Wednesday, July 8-11. The 2018 Huntington Bank Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by Gildan, featuring the PCL All-Stars vs. International League All-Stars, will be held on Wednesday, July 11 at Huntington Park (10,100), home of the Columbus Clippers, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

The 31st annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be televised live on the MLB Network for the ninth consecutive year at 4 p.m. (PDT). The announcing team of Scott Braun, Cliff Floyd, Jonathan Mayo and Alexa Datt will bring the action to viewers nationwide.

The game will also be broadcast locally on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 ‘THE GAME’, home of 51s baseball.

The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 ‘THE GAME’, which will carry live all 140 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.comRuss Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 19th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

The individual game tickets for the 70-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $17.00 (field, $18.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game).  The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
