THE FACTORY KITCHEN OPENING IN LAS VEGAS
The popular Italian Trattoria in Downtown Los Angeles to open second location at
The Venetian® December 2018
FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup and The Venetian Las Vegas announce plans to open The Factory Kitchen at The Venetian, opening December 2018.
“I am very excited and extremely thankful to The Venetian and Las Vegas Sands Corp. for the opportunity to open our first Las Vegas restaurant,” says Matteo Ferdinandi, CEO of FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup.
The space, designed by Architect Thomas Schlesser of DESIGN BUREAUX, will be transformed into a vibrant 152-seat restaurant, filled with pops of The Factory Kitchen’s signature orange, forest green and rustic reclaimed wood tables. In contrast with the organic earth tones are industrial details: Touches of rose gold adorn the art deco-style light fixtures, cool concrete walls and plush grey banquettes line the perimeter of the restaurant. The façade will be interactive with the lively corridor that connects The Venetian and The Palazzo but will offer guests comfort and privacy.
The Factory Kitchen is the product of a long-standing friendship between Ferdinandi and Chef Angelo Auriana. Ferdinandi and Auriana share the vision of imparting their Italian roots and memories through food and hospitality. The original trattoria, serving traditional Italian recipes, opened its doors on Oct. 24, 2013, in The Arts District, Downtown Los Angeles. The Factory Kitchen takes its name from the street it’s located on and the former factory building complex that hosts it, but the restaurant’s soul is purely Italian.
In the kitchen, Chef Auriana prepares dishes using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The approachable menu at The Factory Kitchen highlights the simplicity of traditional local recipes. These recipes have been passed down from generation to generation within Italian families.
Beverage Director and Sommelier Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi has created a wine list which reflects the essence of their distinctive regions. Though Italian wines will be prevalent at The Factory Kitchen, additional wines from neighboring Western European countries and beyond are served.
The bar program highlights artisanal cocktails, which focus on texture, subtle acidity and simplicity, while illuminating the main spirit. The bar is approachable and the high-energy atmosphere fosters laughter and friendships—new and old.
The Factory Kitchen Las Vegas will be open for lunch and dinner when it debuts December 2018 in The Venetian.
