REGIONAL MENU SERIES
 

Prix-fixe dinner menus showcasing Italy’s best culinary regions will rotate
every two weeks. 

 

This summer, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar will offer a changing rotation of prix-fixe menus inspired by Italy’s most renowned culinary regions. The Summer Regional Menu Series will launch June 15, continue through September 7 and be available every night of the week.

Every two weeks, award-winning Chef Francesco DiCaudo will prepare a new, four-course menu comprising dishes from a different Italian epicurean hotspot. All menus will be priced at $49 per person and select bottles of wine, chosen by Ferraro’s sommelier to complement the featured menu, will be offered at special values as well.

Ferraro’s Summer Regional Menu Series will launch with dishes from Piemonte (the Piedmont) region of Northern Italy. Piemonte is home to Owner Gino Ferraro’s preferred wines, such as Barolo, Barbera and Barbaresco, all made from the prized Nebbiolo grape. This menu includes:

Appetizer (choose one)
Manzo Tonnato
Seared beef tenderloin “fagottino,” light tuna mousse, peppery croutons, micro lettuce mix

Warm, soft artichoke flan, toma cheese fondue, baby spinach

Pasta (choose one)
Raviolini del Plin
Small-pocket veal raviolini, parmigiano cheese and truffle sauce

Gnocchi alla Bava
Potato dumpling, spinach, fontina cheese sauce

Main Couse (choose one)
Brasato
Braised short ribs, garden vegetables, veal broth

Salmerino
Artic chard, crayfish, mushroom sauce

Puff pastry, lemon-thyme Chantilly, peach

Other regions to be featured during the Summer Regional Menu Series include Calabria (June 26 – July 12), Sicilia (July 13 – July 26), Toscana (July 27 – Aug. 9), Veneto (Aug. 10 – Aug. 23) and Campania (Aug. 24 – Sept. 7). Featured dishes and accompanying wines for each menu will be announced throughout the summer.
