Fund a Stud this Valentine’s Day by Shopping at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore
(No, not that kind of stud!)
Fund a stud this Valentine’s Day by furnishing your love nest with home goods and furniture from Habitat for Humanity’s new ReStore at Boulevard Mall, and other valley ReStores.
No, not that kind of stud! A wall stud is a fundamental support element used to frame a home during construction.
That means when you buy that sexy pink velour love seat (yes, we have them!), a cozy new bedroom set or romantic lighting from a Habitat for Humanity ReStore, you are funding the local nonprofit’s mission of revitalizing and stabilizing neighborhoods in our community.
What’s not to love about that?
Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas is in phase one of building 20 single-family attached homes in the Pittman Community of Henderson, which is the largest build in the nonprofit’s history. Six homes are expected to be complete by Summer/Fall 2018.
The homes are sold at no profit through a zero-interest mortgage to families earning less than 80% of area median income. Families invest sweat equity to help build Habitat homes, including the one they will eventually purchase. The program also includes financial literacy classes and other support to participating families.
A typical Habitat for Humanity home uses approximately 400 studs to ensure a steady and solid foundation. So fund some studs by shopping to your heart’s content. Because home is truly where the heart is.
