Themed menus, country music entertainment, viewing parties and unbeatable room specials
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, an official National Finals Rodeo (NFR) host hostel, transforms into the ultimate headquarters with themed menus, country music entertainment, viewing parties and room specials from Wednesday, Dec. 7 to Sunday, Dec. 16. The property will offer a live NFR feed at Goose Island Pub and all casino bars and a free nightly shuttle service to and from the Thomas & Mack Center.
Within walking distance from NFR, locals and visitors alike can enjoy a western-themed menu at the 24-hour diner Mr. Lucky’s Café including Short Rib Scramble ($15) for breakfast served with wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, potatoes and garlic toast; a Wedge Salad ($9), topped with smoked bacon, crispy fried onions and Maytag Blue cheese dressing; Barbecue Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese ($14) with aged cheddar, pickles and Cole slaw; and Braised Prime Pot Roast ($19) served with jalapeño and bacon baked beans and creamed corn bread. Across the casino, Mexican cantina Pink Taco will offer the Cowboy Special ($30), a ghost pepper chili rubbed 14-ounce ribeye, topped with jalapeño relleno and served with a chipotle glazed grilled shrimp skewer, rice and beans and flour tortillas. Goose Island Pub’s rodeo menu will feature Beer Cheese Dip ($8) and Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese ($14) with red onion, pickles and Cole slaw. NFR cocktail specials will be available at all casino bars and include Tito’s Sweet Tea ($11), a mix of Tito’s Handmade Vodka and sweet tea; Mule Wrangler ($14), made with Pendleton Whisky, lime juice, Ginger Beer and cranberry juice; and Barrel Racer ($12), crafted with Pendleton Whisky, Kahlúa, cream and Coke.
After four unforgettable and incredibly successful performances in 2015 and 2016, country music star Gary Allan will return to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas for two shows on Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9 at 9:30 p.m. Tickets start at $39.50 (plus applicable service fees).
Concertgoers can also enjoy free country music programming at Vinyl and Culinary Dropout including Daryl Singletary on Thursday, Dec. 7 and Thursday, Dec. 14 at 9:30 p.m. (Vinyl); Mark Wills on Friday Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9 at 9:30 p.m. (Vinyl); David Ball on Sunday, Dec. 10 and Monday, Dec. 11 at 9:30 p.m. (Vinyl); Andy Griggs on Tuesday, Dec. 12 and Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 9:30 p.m. (Vinyl); and Ricochet on Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16 at 9:30 p.m. (Culinary Dropout).
Various country music memorabilia will also be on display around the property during NFR including signed guitars by Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts and Chris Stapleton inside the neon cases across from Vinyl. An exclusive case for Johnny Cash, located across from the reception desk, will include a Martin acoustic guitar with the lyrics of “I Walk The Line” inscribed on the body, a shirt Cash wore for the 1976 United States Bicentennial parade in Washington D.C. and numerous accompanying photos.
