After opening the season with two dominating wins at home over Florida A&M (108-66) and Prairie View A&M (98-63), the UNLV men’s basketball team will close out its homestand against Eastern Washington on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. The game is part of the preliminary rounds of the MGM Resorts Main Event tournament.

Season tickets, mini plans and single-game tickets for the Runnin’ Rebels may be purchased online at UNLVtickets.com, on the phone at (702) 739-FANS or by visiting the TMC Box Office. For the first time, mini plans are available in the lower bowl. For more information on all ticket options, visit UNLVtickets.com.

The 2017-18 season marks the second under head coach Marvin Menzies for the Runnin’ Rebels. Menzies and his staff have brought in a recruiting class for this year that has been ranked as high as No. 12 in the country and features McDonald’s High School All-American Brandon McCoy and National Junior College Player of the Year Shakur Juiston.  The Runnin’ Rebels return their leading scorer from last season – senior guard Jovan Mooring. Mooring averaged 12.6 points per game in 2016-17 and led the team in assists with 4.0 apg (second in the Mountain West).

Five Runnin’ Rebels scored in double figures Wednesday against Prairie View A&M, including two with double-doubles. McCoy had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Juiston had 13 and 12, respectively, as the pair had double figures in both categories for the second straight game.

Friday’s game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com with Tony Cordasco and former Runnin’ Rebel Marcus Banks calling the action. Jon Sandler and former Runnin’ Rebel Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/100.9 FM and online via the UNLV Gameday App and TuneIn (link at UNLVRebels.com).
