Country music singer Darius Rucker will perform at theMandalayBayBeach Saturday, March 31. Hailing fromSouth Carolina, Rucker will channel his southern roots as he sings his latest hits inspired by Otis Redding, Al Green and Gladys Knight – musicians of his youth. The concert is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

 

Tickets priced at $40, not including applicable service charges, are now on sale and available at the MandalayBay Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and DrugCentersand Ritmo Latino). Rucker’s debut solo country album, Learn to Live, was released in 2008 and produced three consecutive No. 1 singles and the Top 5 smash “History in the Making.” Rucker was recognized for his country music success at the 2009 Country Music Awards (CMA) where he received the award for “Top New Artist.” That same year, he also received nominations for the Academy of Country Music (ACM), Teen Choice and the American Music Awards (AMA).

In the fall of 2010, Rucker released his second country album, Charleston, SC 1966. The album includes the No. 1 hit single, “Come Back Song,” and his Top 10 single, “This.” USA Today raved, “Rucker has made a fine-sounding country album, full of singable choruses, bittersweet fiddle and steel and guitars with bottomless twang.”
