The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a brief three-game homestand on Tuesday, July 4 against the PCL defending champion, El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m. All three games of the series from Tuesday-Thursday, July 4-6 will begin at 7:05 p.m.
The 51s, under first-year manager Pedro Lopez, are currently on an eight-game road trip that will conclude in Salt Lake City, Utah against the Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, on Monday, July 3.
2017 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 36 dates, Las Vegas’ total is 199,483 for an average of 5,541. Las Vegas has recorded three sellouts: 9,872 for Star Wars Night/Fireworks on April 28 vs. Albuquerque; season-high crowd of 10,342 for the Smokers Strike Out 14th Annual School Day Game on May 3 vs. Tacoma; 9,559 for the Fireworks/Nevada Donor Network Donate Life Night on May 5 vs. Tacoma. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in “home” attendance in all 34 seasons (1983-2016). The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,509,211. The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.
The 51s organization will help celebrate Independence Day with the best fireworks show in Southern Nevada with the traditional Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by The Valley Health System, in the series opener vs. El Paso on Tuesday the 4th of July. All tickets are priced at $16.00 (presale); $17.00-Day of Game.
Budweiser Dollar Beer Night will be presented in the finale of the series on Thursday, July 6. Dollar Beer Night will be featured at every Thursday home game during the 2017 season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.
WestStar Credit Union “Winning Wednesday” will be featured THREE more times during the 2017 season. The remaining dates are: July 5 vs. El Paso; July 19 vs. Fresno; August 9 vs. Reno.
If the 51s WIN, fans can redeem their tickets for a future Sunday through Tuesday “home” game. In addition, each “WestStar Winning Wednesday,” one lucky fan will also be randomly selected to be the WestStar Winner of the Game! The winning fan will receive an autographed baseball from a 51s player, a seat upgrade for their group, and the opportunity to become the guest PA announcer for a half-inning that night.
The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 ‘THE GAME’, which will carry live all 142 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 18th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

Following the homestand, Las Vegas will embark on a brief three-game road trip to Albuquerque, N.M., against the Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, from Friday-Sunday, July 7-9.
The Triple-A All-Star break will then be held from Monday-Wednesday, July 10-12. The 2017 CHI Franciscan Health Triple-A All-Star Game presented by Gildan, featuring the PCL All-Stars vs. International League All-Stars, will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at Cheney Stadium, Triple-A affiliate of the Tacoma Rainiers. The 51s representatives in the all-star game will be shortstop Amed Rosario and hitting coach Jack Voigt.
The 30th annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be televised live on the MLB Network at 6 p.m. (PDT). The announcing team of Paul Severino, Bill Ripkin, Jim Callis and Michelle McMahon will bring the action to viewers nationwide.
The game will also be broadcast locally on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 ‘THE GAME’, home of 51s baseball.
Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the SCE Federal Credit Union Box Office at Cashman Field. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non-game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com).
The individual game tickets for the 71-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $16.00 (field, $17.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
