WestCare Receives Certification by the State of Nevada to Operate Two Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics
WestCare Nevada announced today that it has received certification to operate two Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) in Reno and Las Vegas. The clinics will provide a comprehensive range of person-centered and trauma-informed mental health and substance use disorder services for all ages regardless of their ability to pay.
“To truly uplift the human spirit, we need to provide everyone we serve with a comprehensive system of care that addresses all the barriers to living a healthy life,” said Kathy Paxton, senior vice president of WestCare. “The CCBHC supports that system by increasing access to care through the expansion of clinic hours during evenings and weekends, employing additional dedicated and knowledgeable staff, and partnering with other community agencies to provide a holistic approach to care.”
WestCare Nevada’s CCBHC’s will provide a variety of services, including crisis mental health services (24-hour mobile crisis teams, intervention and crisis stabilization); screenings, assessments and diagnosis; person-centered treatment planning; outpatient services for mental health and substance use disorders; outpatient primary care screening and monitoring; case management; psychiatric rehabilitation; peer and family support and services for veterans. With invaluable technical assistance from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, the entire WestCare Nevada team has worked hard to achieve this important designation.
