Wine is in the forecast this May at Golden Nugget Las Vegas, which will host the return of its popular Spring Wine Fest. From Friday, May 12 to Saturday, May 13, Golden Nugget Las Vegas will transform into a sommelier’s paradise with a lavish poolside reception, intimate seminars, and a grand tasting event featuring a bounty of the finest wines from Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
The two-day event, which will commemorate its ninth year at Golden Nugget Las Vegas, will include:
Poolside Wine Kick Off Reception
Friday, May 12 – 8-10 p.m. at The Tank
Sip on wine under the stars against the stunning backdrop of Golden Nugget Las Vegas’ world-famous pool and shark tank. Wine Comparison Seminar: Sideways with Sonoma County Pinot Noir
Saturday, May 13 – 1-2:30 p.m. at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse
Pinot Noir is synonymous with Sonoma County, where a cool marine climate combines with the rich soil of its fog-laden valleys to create an environment uniquely suited for production of the varietal. With 17 American Viticulture Areas from the low-rolling hills of Los Carneros to Russian River Valley, the region is famous for its numerous appellations. The seminar is hosted by Master Sommelier Guy Stout. Tickets are available at $35 per person (seating limited to 40 guests).

It’s the new Battle of the Bay. Two esteemed San Francisco Bay Area wine regions will face off in a blind tasting to answer the ultimate question: “Which Cabernet Sauvignon do you prefer?” Featuring the most celebrated wines from the regions, as well as two outside contenders, connoisseurs will taste a variety of the popular varietal before selecting their preferred bottles of choice.
