Las Vegas 51s supports Easter Seals Nevada during Autism Awareness Month
On Sunday, April 16, the Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team will host a special Easter egg hunt prior to the Pacific Coast League contest vs. the Sacramento River Cats at 12:05 p.m. at Cashman Field in support of Easter Seals Nevada. In honor of Autism Awareness month, the Las Vegas 51s have teamed up with Easter Seals Nevada to further its mission to help more than 8,500 individuals in our community with disabilities become more self-sufficient through direct services, education and community partnerships.
“We’re excited to play ball this Easter weekend with the Las Vegas 51s, who share our vision of enriching the community at large,” said Brian Patchett, President and CEO of Easter Seals Nevada. “Coming together on this day will help us advance our goal of providing inclusive services for all persons with disabilities who want to lead more powerful and independent lives.”
Easterseals Nevada will host a private Easter egg hunt for the individuals they serve at 10:30 am prior to the open to the public Easter egg hunt. More information about Easterseals Nevada will be available during the game on the concourse. A “Golden Egg” fundraiser will also take place through the game where participants pay $10 in hopes of winning prizes, which include car washes, show tickets and more.
“The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team is committed to being a strong community partner, 51s President/COO Don Logan said. “We are excited to be involved with this great organization, Easterseals Nevada, for our first matinee home game of the season.”
