Beerhaus Kicks Off Oktoberfest at The Park with Celebrity Keg Tapping
The first-annual Oktoberfest at The Park opened with a lively party at Beerhaus, highlighted by American Country music duo LOCASH tapping the keg and jumpstarting the festivities. The pair tapped a commemorative firkin, then danced and cheered with the crowd with a series of boisterous drinking chants.
Prior to the keg tapping, The Dummkopfs – a Las Vegas-local ensemble – built up the excitement with toe-tapping polkas and punny jokes, only pausing to lead the crowd in traditional German toasts. A strongman competition challenged guests to hit the bell to the top of a tower and a giant Connect Four game saw many intense rivalries settled. The beer was flowing, the smiles were glowing and everyone’s German spirit was showing.
Oktoberfest at The Park is transforming the entertainment district in front of T-Mobile Arena into a scene straight out of Munich, with live music, classic drinking games and limited-edition brews offered throughout the weekend. Continuing at 4 p.m. today and Sunday, Oct. 2, guests can fill their steins and sample 10 different Oktoberfest brews while enjoying bratwurst, German potato salad and more.
