Golden Nugget Las Vegas Welcomes Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special to its National Finals Rodeo Entertainment Lineup
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Golden Nugget Las Vegas, the city’s premiere destination for National Finals Rodeo entertainment, will welcome to the stage Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special at The Grand Event Center. Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 p.m. and .38 Special will perform Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. Tickets are now on sale.
The two groups, both founded in Jacksonville, Florida, were at the forefront of the Southern Rock sound that roared out of the city in the 1970s. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s knack for songwriting, from ballad’s like “Tuesday’s Gone” and “Free Bird,” to rollicking hits “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Gimme Three Steps,” combined with a bluesy delivery, made them the definitive artists of the genre.
.38 Special’s breakout hit “Hold On Loosely” appeared on their popular album “Wild-Eyed Southern Boys” (1981) and has since been featured on television, in film, and on several compilation albums. With sales in excess of 20 million, .38 Special’s fan-favorite hits include “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more.

  • Tanya Tucker │ December 4
  • Brenda Lee | December 5
  • Charlie Daniels Band | December 6
  • A Wynonna & The Big Noise Christmas│December 8
