 Marking an amazing half-century, the world-renowned Caesars Palace Las Vegas is celebrating its golden anniversary with a weekend of exciting events highlighted by a free, public fireworks display at 10:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5. The milestone anniversary weekend also includes a variety of events, specials and amenities to celebrate including resort-wide champagne specials, anniversary room packages, decadent menu offerings and specialty cocktails.
“Since opening in 1966, Caesars Palace has set the standard for the Las Vegas experience,” said Mark P. Frissora, Chief Executive Officer of Caesars Entertainment. “Caesars Palace became an iconic brand by continually transforming its hospitality, entertainment and gaming products. Our focus on innovation continues as we look ahead to the next fifty years of industry leadership.”

The legendary resort first opened its doors on Aug. 5, therefore, the big weekend of celebration kicks off exactly five decades later on Friday, Aug. 5 with a special birthday pool party for hotel guests hosted by award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay at the picturesque Garden of The Gods pool oasis. During the poolside celebration, the winner of the 50th Anniversary nationwide cocktail competition will also be revealed. There’s still time to get in on the fun as hotel rooms are still available. On Saturday, Aug. 6, Caesars Palace will further celebrate its 50-year legacy of iconic entertainment with a Grand Gala event for invited VIP guests. The extravagant evening will be headlined by Tony Bennett who was the second performer to ever appear at the Circus Maximus Showroom in 1966 and in 1969 was the first and only entertainer ever offered a lifetime contract to perform at Caesars Palace. Most recently, Bennett performed at The Colosseum in 2012 and 2013. Comedian and actor Howie Mandel who previously appeared at the Circus Maximus showroom and served as Master of Ceremonies for Caesars Palace 30th Anniversary television special in 1996 will host of the evening’s festivities. The gala will also feature surprise appearances and special performances by current Caesars Entertainment headliners including; Wayne NewtonDonny and Marie OsmondMatt Goss and The Righteous Brothers. Throughout the evening, many iconic individuals who have made significant contributions to the colorful history and shaped the enduring legacy of Caesars Palace, will be recognized. Honorees for the evening include: Gordon Ramsaythe Jay Sarno Family, the Knievel FamilyLarry Ruvo and more.
