Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation to Kick Off 13th Annual
“Fill The Fire Truck” Toy Drive at Select Locations
Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation to begin collecting
toys and gift cards on Friday, Dec. 4 2015
The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation will kick off its 13th annual “Fill The Fire Truck” Toy Drive on Thursday, Dec. 3 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hennessey’s Tavern. The seasonal toy drive will take place at select locations across the valley throughout the holiday season, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, Dec. 20.
Several community service programs and organizations have partnered with Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation to distribute toys to families in need. Organizations such as Destined for Glory World Outreach Ministries, Las Vegas Shriners Hospital for Children, Silver Mesa Recreation Center and The Hispanic Coalition will receive toys collected throughout the drive. Liliam Lujan Hickey Elementary School, Ruben Diaz Elementary School, Vail Pittman Elementary School, C.C. Ronnow Elementary School and Paul E. Culley Elementary School students are also among those who will benefit from the 2015 Fill The Fire Truck Toy Drive.
Collection dates:
· Friday, Dec. 4 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
· Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
· Friday, Dec. 11 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
· Saturday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
· Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Firefighters and volunteers will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and gift cards at the following locations during the December toy drive:

· 6464 N. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131
· 540 Marks St., Henderson, NV 89014
· 4350 N. Nellis Blvd., Las Vegas NV, 89115
In years past, the “Fill the Fire Truck” Toy Drive has provided toys to more than 20,000 children of low-income families throughout Southern Nevada. This year, the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation hopes reach their goal to provide toys to more than 23,000 children.
Local fire departments are joining together to supply volunteers and fire trucks to help make this year’s Toy Drive a success. Many local companies have also partnered with Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation to sponsor this year’s toy drive. Local sponsors including Wal-Mart, Storage One, and Nevada Legal News have shown their support through private toy and monetary donations.
