ANDRE’S ANNOUNCES NEW SPRING MENU, ADDS SMALL PLATES
Springtime brings the brightest of flavors and freshest ingredients to chefs’ kitchens the world over. This season, Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino has introduced a new menu, incorporating small plates as well as a risotto and pasta section.
Small plates, priced at $10 each, include Smoked Salmon Parfait with cucumber dill salad and olive oil caviar; Grilled Lamb Sausage served with curried slaw; Pork Rillette with sweet pepper relish and toasted country bread; Caponata with crispy anchovies and toasted baguette; Fried Oysters with lemon aioli; and Pickled Vegetables with five-herb sauce and garlic chips.
Pastas and risottos, available in starter ($12) and entrée ($24) portion sizes, included King Crab Ravioli with fresh peas and saffron sauce; Pappardelle with braised chicken thigh, artichoke and cherry tomato; Vegetable Risotto with an assortment of market vegetables; Gluten-free Quinoa Pasta with roasted eggplant with bell pepper sauce.
Andre’s still offers five- and seven-course tasting menus, as well as all the classic favorites, including Maine Lobster Thermidor, Classic Dover Sole, and Diver Scallop. Main courses available a la carte include Braised Beef Short Ribs, Grilled Sockeye Salmon and other beef and seafood dishes.
In addition, Andre’s Pastry Chef Tammy Alana has created a new spring dessert menu. It features Andre’s famous chocolate and Grand Marnier soufflés, while also offering carrot cake, raspberry-and-white-chocolate and soufflé du jour varieties. Other irresistible indulgences on the spring dessert menu include:
- Crème brûlée trio, featuring vanilla, salted caramel and coffee bean
- Blackberry and blueberry almond tart with lemon poppy seed ice cream
- White, milk and dark chocolate mousse with mango medley
- Neapolitan Napoleon featuring layers of puff pastry with vanilla, raspberry and chocolate custards
- Warm chocolate fondant with strawberry ice cream and crisp orange meringue
- Passion fruit crème caramel with French meringue
- Selection of ice creams and sorbets (choice of three)
- Cheese plate – chef’s selection accompanied by seasonal jams and preserves
- Dessert menu prices range from $9 to $18.
