Tool, the popular California rock band, hits the road this month for another smashing tour and will make a stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Sunday, Jan. 15. In a musical career spanning nearly 20 years, Tool has won three GRAMMY® Awards, toured worldwide and produced chart topping albums including Undertow, Ænima and Lateralus. The band’s most recent album, 10,000 Days, earned the band critical claim and success. Formed in 1990, the band includes drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, vocalist Maynard James Keenan and bassist Justin Chancellor.

The Country Music Association (CMA), Academy of Country Music (ACM) and GRAMMY® Award-winning Zac Brown Band, popular for its multi-genre music and entertaining concert performances, will bring its Zac Brown Band 2011/2012 World Tour Presented by Landshark Lager & Jack Daniel’s to the Mandalay Bay Events Center Friday,
Jan. 20. The band’s first major label release, The Foundation, was one of Billboard’s Top 20 albums of 2009 and was the first major label debut album in 18 years to yield five No. 1 hits including “Chicken Fried” and “Free.” The band’s second album, You Get What You Give, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and includes hit singles “As She’s Walking Away” featuring Alan Jackson and “Knee Deep” with Jimmy Buffett.

Reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year and Grand Ole Opry member Brad Paisley will bring “Virtual Reality World Tour 2012” presented by Chevy to the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, Jan. 28. Paisley has placed 20 singles at the top of the charts including his latest, “Remind Me,” a duet with Carrie Underwood. The musician’s current album, This Is Country Music, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and is Paisley’s sixth consecutive studio album to debut as the nation’s country best-seller. The Las Vegas show will feature special guests The Band Perry and American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery.

UFC 143: NICK DIAZ VS. CARLOS CONDIT
Nick Diaz and Carlos “Natural Born Killer” Condit – two of UFC’s top welterweight contenders – will vie for the interim 170-pound title in UFC 143 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, Feb. 4. Diaz is riding an 11-fight win streak and is known as a fiery and unpredictable southpaw while Condit is the division’s most fearsome knockout artist. Additional fights scheduled for this event include welterweight bad boy Josh Koscheck vs. Mike Pierce, as well as a pivotal featherweight bout pitting Erik “New Breed” Koch vs. Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier.

Not your typical aquarium, Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay is a total sensory experience designed to transport visitors to an undersea ocean of fantastic sights, sounds and encounters.
