5th Annual WashFest

COUNTRY ARTISTS GIVE BACK

Country band The Washers hosted their 5th Annual WashFest in January featuring live music and a washer tournament, which raised over $41,000 for Snowdrop Foundation.

The event, created by local band The Washers, is designed as a community event and Texas music showcase all for the purpose of raising money for charity.  Kevin Kline, The New 93Q Country Morning Co-Host and President of Snowdrop Foundation had this to say “The Washers are a great band but even more than that, they are genuine and caring guys, with huge hearts who just want to make a difference in other’s lives.”

This year set a new tournament participation record with 152-two person teams.  After more than 8 hours of tournament play, Felix and Jorge Camacho of Marbles Falls, TX were crowned the 2015 Champions.

Over 1,900 attendees jammed to the music of Cody Johnson Band, Thom Shepherd, The Washers, Mike McClure Band, Fred Andrews and Honeybrowne, Walt Wilkins and Adam Hood.

Matt Kopycinski, founding member of the Washers “Whether you come to participate in the tournament or to hear the bands and dance the night away, WashFest is a great experience.  We do this annual event for Snowdrop Foundation.  Who can’t get behind finding a cure for childhood cancer?”  Kopycinski continues “We have kids right here in our backyard that have been touched by this terrible disease.  Some have won their battles, some are still fighting and some are angels watching over us. ”

About The Washers

With a little bit of folk, a dash of good old rock ‘n roll, and a whole lot of country.

Members: Mikey Faltysek, Todd Janik, Matt Kopycinski and Justin Wilcox

~One of the unique elements of their dynamic live show is the fact that the four in front share the vocal spotlight. In addition to a different lead singer on seemingly every song, the four singers constantly shift their roles to create beautiful, complex harmonies. www.thewashersmusic.com
