Las Vegas Legends to Host “Opportunity Village Game Day” on Sunday, November 23 with Partial Proceeds Benefitting Las Vegas’ Favorite Charity

Fans can arrive early to cheer on local high school soccer Players in All-Star Game

The Las Vegas Legends, Las Vegas’ only current major league sports team, announces the team will challenge its rival, the San Diego Sockers, on November 23 at 3:05 p.m. at the Orleans Arena. The game marks a special day for the Legends as they host “Opportunity Village Game Day.” When purchasing tickets for the November 23 game, fans can use the code OV60, and 20% of the ticket price will go to Opportunity Village. OVIP aspiring opera singer, Alyssa Thayler, will sing the national anthem at the start of the game while other OVIPs will join her on the field to be honored by the Legends and fans at the Orleans Arena. Partial proceeds from the ball toss fundraiser that is held between the third and fourth quarter will also benefit Opportunity Village.

“The Las Vegas Legends are so honored to partner with Opportunity Village for a special day at the Orleans Arena,” said Meir Cohen, President and Owner of the Las Vegas Legend.  “Everyone that purchases a ticket to the November 23 game and uses the special code, OV60, will be supporting a great cause. We are encouraging everyone to come down to the Orleans Arena on the 23rd for a day filled with exciting soccer while honoring the special OVIPs in our community.”

Before the game, ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early to cheer on the high school All-Star soccer game featuring all-star players from various schools around the valley. The Girls All-Star game will start at 11:30 a.m. and the Boys All-Star game will start at 12:45 p.m.

Earlier this summer, the Legends announced the team has joined the Major Arena Soccer League, a newly formed super league of 23 professional indoor arena soccer teams from across the United States and Mexico. Major Arena Soccer League will play 20 regular season games and the teams will be divided into multiple divisions based on geography. Three teams from each division will make the play-offs. The MASL season began in October and will run through February 2015.
