Lady Rebels open regular season Friday against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
The UNLV Athletics Department announced details for season-long radio coverage of the Lady Rebels on Thursday, which will compliment all 14 regular-season home games being available for free via a live video stream through the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com.This season’s radio package will see a total of 15 regular season games broadcast by KSHP-1400 AM, while they will carry all potential games in the Mountain West Championships as well. Another seven games will be carried by Sports 920 (AM) The Game, with an addition two games to be determined later in the season which station they will be carried on. Five games will be audio streamed only online at UNLVRebels.com, while the other 24 games can also be listened to online through links to the radio feeds provided on UNLVRebels.com.
Adam Candee returns for his seventh overall season with the team, and the third as the lead Voice of the Lady Rebels. Joining Candee on the call will be second-year color analyst Jesse Vineyard.
For the first time UNLV will have a live video stream with commentary for the entire home schedule, as part of the MWN. First-year play-by-play analyst Tyler Bischoff, who also serves as play-by-play for Rebel men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball on the MWN, will be joined on most games by color analyst and former Lady Rebel standout Jamie Smith. The video stream is free for all, and will also be available for UNLV’s nine conference road games as well.
The Lady Rebels begin the 2014-15 season by opening at home against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, with the game starting at 4 pm in the Thomas & Mack Center.
