The Hatch Family are still doing what their grandfather did three generations ago and that is take people down the Grand Canyon’s Colorado River’s white water rapids in a raft.
This year Hatch River Expeditions and owner Steve Hatch are celebrating 80 years of their family owned business. While a corporation purchased his relative’s name and their business Don Hatch Expeditions, Steve Hatch is the only true descendant of Bus Hatch and the original Grand Canyon river trip.
Hatch River Expeditions is a small family run business now in their third generation of Hatch leadership. Hatch is the oldest commercial rafting company in North America. They specialize in multi-day white water rafting trips on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. Guests can choose from trips ranging from 4-12 days with all amenities while on the river included. Attractions along the river may include visiting the turquoise waters of the Little Colorado River or Havasu Creek or hiking to ancient Puebloan granaries. Some of the most famous whitewater on the planet may be seen on our rafting trips including the infamous Lava Falls.
Hatch River Expeditions provide wilderness trips ranging from the novice camper to the experienced hiker. Hatch has accommodated guests from 9-90 years old.
Hatch River Expeditions is located in Flagstaff, Arizona and their website can be found at http://www.hatchriverexpeditions.com
