RIYL: Say Anything, Bright Eyes, The Front Bottoms
Hailing from Buffalo, NY, Casey Bolles plays acoustic indie/emo/punk music about feelings and stuff. With influences ranging from The Mountain Goats to Say Anything, he writes music that’s personal, but at the end of the day everyone can say “same” to.
His first release, The Fever, was an energetic, full band EP with an indie pop rock feel to it, evoking Say Anything, but future tracks are headed in a direction drawing more heavily upon influences like Bright Eyes and The Front Bottoms, losing the full band while gaining some new influences, experiences, and maturity.
