Last night, The Venetian Las Vegas created The Strip’s largest new event for Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appetit, the international Asian Night Market featuring theworld’s best chefs for one night of food, fun and entertainment.
The Night Market: East Meets West celebrated a cross-cultural exchange with an array of epicurean icons, including American culinary luminaries chefs Mario Batali, Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Buddy Valastro as they united with two of Singapore’s most internationally known culinary superstars, Justin Quek of Sky On 57a nd Tewtsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin, both of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore; and Luke Mangan, one of Australia’s leading chefs and restaurateurs.
“It was such an honor to host this international celebration for Vegas Uncork’d,” said Sebastien Silvestri, Vice President of Food & Beverage for The Venetian Las Vegas. “With an impressive lineup of influential chef superstars from across the world, the evening was one of the most prestigious culinary events of the year and a pleasure to experience.”
Throughout the evening, party goers feasted on an enchanting menu with spectacular dishes, including dim sum, Peking duck, sea urchin, and wok-fried Maine lobster, while also experiencing Asian-inspired mixology, including world-class sake, Asian beer and wine. Festive entertainment adorned the scenic plaza during the three-hour event, including the stars of PANDA!, the first resident production from China on the Las Vegas Strip, as they performed a taste of their show from The Palazzo Theatre to fascinated revelers.
The evening also featured Chefs Mario Batali and Buddy Valastro as the headlining mentors to two students from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in the Chase Sapphire Preferred Grill Challenge as they vied for $20,000 in scholarship funds during event.
