UNLVino Launches ‘Pick Two’ Package to Celebrate 40 Fabulous Years

- BAR-b-q – Thursday, April 10 from 7 – 10 p.m. – This moonlit soiree will honor Las Vegas’ top mixologists at Caesars Palace Garden of the Gods Pool. Guests can imbibe on signature cocktails created by Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada’s Executive Director of Mixology, Francesco Lafranconi, and the talented teams from Atomic Liquors, The Boozery, District One Kitchen & Bar, Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge, Downtown Cocktail Room, DW Bistro, Echo & Rig, Herbs and Rye, Imperial Tacos & Beer, Midtown Bar, The Blind Pig, Triple George, Vanguard Lounge, Vintner Grill and Wayfarer Bar. One of UNLVino’s most beloved events, Bubble-Licious will delight patrons with an evening of champagne, sparkling wines, and cocktails from the likes of Armand de Brignac, Billecart-Salmon, Bruno Paillard, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Freixenet, Gerard Bertrand, Henriot, La Caravelle, Moët-Hennessy, Pernod Ricard USA, Rémy Cointreau USA, Riboli Family Wines and Wilson Creek Winery. Delicious beverages will be complemented by amazing small plates from The Venetian and Palazzo’s collection of restaurants.
- Founders’ Grand Tasting – Saturday, April 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. – UNLVino will honor the men who created this wonderful scholarship event 40 years ago – UNLV Dean Jerry Vallen and Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada’s Larry Ruvo – with a totally reimagined Grand Tasting experience that is bigger and better than ever before. An indoor/outdoor event taking place at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Keep Memory Alive Event Center, the Founders’ Grand Tasting will feature more than 80 premium beverage booths, a beer garden, sake village, live entertainment, interactive art experiences and cuisine from UNLV culinary students in addition to Big Sur Oyster Bar, Binion’s Ranch Steakhouse, Mercadito Las Vegas, Oscar’s Steakhouse, Poppy Den by Chef Angelo Sosa, Portofino, Sambalatte, Spiedini & Chef Gustav Mauler, Tacos & Tequila, The Siegel Group & Rumor Boutique Hotel and Westin Lake Las Vegas, among others.
In addition to these events, the 40th UNLVino will kick off April 9 with Sip & Savor at Spago inside The Forum Shops, hosted by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. At the event, attendees will mingle with the chef and enjoy premium wines and gourmet food from Puck’s six distinct Las Vegas restaurants. Participating wineries include Wolfgang Puck, Au Bon Climat Winery, Cain Vineyard & Winery, Castello di Ama, Chehalem, Domaine Cordier, Cheval des Andes, Daou Vineyards & Winery, d’Arenberg, Hall Wines, Champagne-Henriot, Holdredge Wines, Kistler Vineyards, Marimar Estate, Patz & Hall, Poggio Antico, Puck-Schrader, Talbott Vineyards, Fattoria Rodáno, Ruinart, Domaine Santa Duc, Swanson Vineyards and Walt Wines.
