Three-Day Festival Marks Debut of Resort’s New Outdoor Plaza and
Features Authentic Irish Fare and Live Entertainment
New York-New York Hotel & Casino turns a shade of green at the annual Celtic Feis festival in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day March 15-17. The weekend begins with the highly anticipated opening of the new, dynamic stripfront plaza and features Irish bites from Nine Fine Irishmen, celebratory cocktails and live entertainment. The event is complimentary and
open to guests 21 and over..
“Celtic Feis at New York-New York has become an annual tradition that both locals and visitors look forward to,” said Brent Cook, executive director of food & beverage at New York-New York. “In addition to great Irish bands, festive libations and authentic food, this year will be especially exciting as we will officially reveal the highly anticipated shops and outdoor plaza area.”
On Saturday, March 15, an official green ribbon cutting ceremony will mark the unveiling of the new outdoor plaza at New York-New York at 11 a.m. Also for the first time, the property’s fountain will be dyed green and green lights will shine on Lady Liberty in celebration of the weekend’s events, spreading Irish cheer to the entire resort.
The finale of the celebration on St. Patrick’s Day will begin with a festive parade led by an honor guard who will be joined by bag pipe players and band. The procession will begin on the Brooklyn Bridge and continue throughout New York-New York.
Throughout the weekend, Irish food items such as Fried Sausages, Shepherd’s Pie and Corned Beef Sandwiches will be available at Nine Fine Irishmen’s new outdoor patio. Libations will also be specially priced including $10 cocktails, $7 domestic beers, $8 import beer and $7 shots.
Performers providing nonstop music throughout the festival include Sine Ri-Ra, Rattle & Hum, Patrick Seiban, Limey Bar Stewards, and Michael Bowman. Below is the complete entertainment schedule:
